Newsflash

It seems a small number of Darp users have been having a problem with Echo sound cards, it turns out this is not a problem with Darp but a problem with the Windows drivers supplied.

Echo have released a patch which is available for download from their website.

Download the latest DARP 3.6.2 with the Segue Editor

The Segue Editor has now been included as promised into the DARP log and after testing it myself I have not found any issues.

However as always there will be a given set of circumstances that will cause a problem somewhere so if anyone would like to try it out then you can download by clicking the link below. It will be available in the download section in Darpzone as soon as it's proven.

Don't forget to make a backup of your existing darp32.exe if you're not sure.

Other changes in this release:

  • The mysterious HotKey error problem has been fixed.
  • Configurator can now be locked by Administrators to stop unauthorised people fiddling with settings.
  • The log currently loaded is displayed at the foot of the Log window.
  • Players can be set to be always on top if desired. This is a check box in the configuration utility.
  • Instead of having fixed rules about Songs fading on 'Play Next' and Jingles don't we've passed this descision over to the user. If you want an item to be faded when the next item plays then simply make sure the audio has 'Audio Fades' check in the editor. Or in the case of the log 'Fade' needs to be checked. This way if you have a Travel Bed and you want it to fade when you 'Play Next' you have the option.
  • Log item lengths have been fixed to reflect the effect of having a Trim In set on the audio.
  • And probably some other fiddly little bits I've forgotten about...
